Day one: San Gimignano and Siena

Your Tuscany Tours adventure begins at 9 am, when your tour manager and driver will meet you at Florence train station or your hotel before setting off into the Tuscan countryside.

Our first stop is the enchanting medieval town of San Gimignano. Enjoy some free time to explore its beautifully preserved streets, browse local artisan shops, and admire the town’s iconic medieval towers and spectacular views across the surrounding countryside.

At lunchtime, we’ll continue to a local farmhouse for a traditional Tuscan meal accompanied by a glass or two of Vernaccia di San Gimignano, the area’s celebrated white wine with centuries of history.

In the afternoon, we’ll head to Siena, one of Italy’s most beautifully preserved historic cities. Take some time to explore Piazza del Campo, the heart of the city and famous setting of the Palio horse race, or wander through Siena’s atmospheric streets, discovering artisan shops, cafés, and local restaurants. For those looking for a panoramic view, the climb to the top of Torre del Mangia offers an unforgettable perspective over the city and its distinctive black-and-white marble Duomo.

At the end of the day, your driver will take you to your beautiful Tuscan accommodation, where you’ll settle in for the rest of your Best of Tuscany experience.

Day two: Chianti Wine Tour

Today is dedicated to discovering the Best of Tuscany through its world-famous food and wine. Our Tuscany Wine Tour takes us through the beautiful Chianti countryside, where we’ll visit three vineyards and historic cellars to learn about the history and traditional production of Chianti wine.

At each winery, we’ll enjoy tastings of different local wines, along with Tuscany’s renowned extra virgin olive oil. After our wine experiences, we’ll continue to Greve, a charming town famous for its traditional butchers, delicatessens, and excellent local produce—the perfect place to pick up some of the Tuscan specialties we’ve tasted throughout the day.

In the evening, we’ll return to our accommodation and unwind over a delicious home-cooked dinner, bringing another memorable day of our Tuscany Tours to a close.

Day three:Hot Springs and Val d’Orcia

Today brings a relaxing finale to your Best of Tuscany tour. After breakfast and checking out, we’ll travel to the beautiful hot springs of San Filippo, nestled among the Tuscan hills. Here, you can wander through the woods, passing waterfalls and natural pools until you reach the spectacular “White Whale”, a natural hot spring with waters reaching 48°C.

Take your time to relax in the warm thermal waters or continue exploring the woodland pools to find your favorite spot. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a stroll through the charming hilltop town of San Filippo before stopping for lunch at a local trattoria, where you can also freshen up before continuing the journey.

In the afternoon, we’ll take a scenic drive through the breathtaking Val d’Orcia, one of the highlights of Tuscany Tours, with a final stop in either Montalcino or Montepulciano for a wine tasting.

Our Best of Tuscany journey comes to an end with a scenic drive back to Florence, where your driver will drop you at the train station for your journey home.

TOUR GROUPS:

We never take more than eight people on our tours, as we are dedicated to providing the best personal attention to every individual taking on our Tuscany road trip itinerary.

Minimum group size: two persons.

PRICE AND PAYMENT:

The tour costs $1850 per person.

We ask for a 25% deposit to secure your place, with the balance to be paid 30 days before departure. If the tour is booked within 30 days of departure, the full payment will be required.

• Professional local bilingual driver for the whole tour.
• Two nights' accommodation in your own private room t in a comfortable traditional Tuscan 4 star accommodation. Full Board.
• Two continental breakfasts in the farmhouse.
