DAY 1 – PALERMO
Arrival at Palermo Airport, transfer to Hotel. Dinner and Overnight.
DAY 2 – PALERMO & MONREALE
After breakfast departure to explore the Sicilian culture and cuisine. The itinerary begins with a visit to the Mercato del Ballarò, where you can see and taste the famous street food: panelle, arancine, croquettes and bread. You can admire the small sellers and the multicolored stalls, the wealth of fruit and fish, all among curious characters who scream to catch your attention.
After that you can visit Palermo which stretches along beautiful Tyrrhenian bay. Founded by the Phoenicians between the seventh and eighth centuries BC, it was conquered by the Arabs in 83, giving rise to a long period of prosperity. You will be enchanted by the wide avenues of the city, the old town and its Baroque buildings. You will visit the main attractions of the city: the Norman area, the “Quattro Canti” of the city & the baroque square of the cathedral. in the afternoon transfer by minibus to Monreale to visit the beautiful Byzantine style mosaics depicting scenes from the Old and New Testaments. Return to the hotel in Palermo. Dinner in Typical Restaurant ,Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 3 –CANTINA FEUDO ARANCIO / AGRIGENTO
After breakfast departure for the visit to the Cantina del Feudo Arancio: tasting of four different wines during a typical Sicilian soft lunch. Overnight in Agrigento.
DAY 4 – VALLE DEI TEMPLI & SANT’ANGELO MUXARO
After breakfast we will visit the splendid Valley of the Temples, UNESCO World Heritage Site, surrounded by almond trees. After the visit we will travel to reach the hinterland of Agrigento, where on the top of a hill is the small village of Sant'Angelo Muxaro (old Kamikos). After the visits, your guide will take you to a typical bakery to taste the typical homemade biscuits. This walking route leads away from the classic tourist routes. Return to the hotel in Agrigento for a nap. In the evening, dinner in a traditional rural country house, where between Sicilian music and food of the ancient Sicilian traditions, in a familiar and festive atmosphere we will spend the evening.
Overnight in Agrigento.
Day 5 - Cooking Class – Farm Cultural Park / Siracusa
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Favara. This experience has guests spending a morning at the Farm Cultural Park of Favara (a city in the province of Agrigento). The British travel blog “Purple Travel” has ranked Favara and its Farm Cultural Park at the 6th place in the world – preceded by Florence, Paris, Bilbao, the Greek Islands and New York – as a touristic destination for lovers of contemporary art.
Program:
Welcome drink, fresh homemade lemonade served with typical Sicilian snacks
• Cooking course lasting about three hours, using fresh, local organic produce; guests will receive instructional hands-on lessons in the preparation of three traditional Sicilian dishes
• Tour of the art gallery and courtyards (the gardens, current exhibits, museum shop, etc.)
Lunch consisting of the dishes prepared during the course, served in the museum’s “black space” or “nzemmula” with locally made wine and seasonal fruit. In the afternoom transfer a Siracusa. Accommodation in hotel; dinner and overnight in Siracusa.
DAY 6 – SIRACUSA & NOTO
After breakfast visit of the Archaeological Park of Neapolis (Greek Theater, Roman Amphitheater, Latomie and Dionisio's ear). Continue to Ortigia where you will be enchanted by its historic center, dominated by the extraordinary baroque cathedral, but also the Fonte di Aretusa and the port. Soft lunch based on typical Sicilian products in a typical local Ortigia, by the Burgio Brothers.
Afternoon dedicated to Noto, the capital of Sicilian baroque where we can admire palaces, churches and convents including the Cathedral, Palazzo Nicolaci Villadorata and Palazzo Ducezio. Dinner in a typical restaurant and Overnight in Syracuse.
DAY 7 – TAORMINA
After breakfast transfer to Taormina. In the afternoon meeting with the guide and visit of Taormina. The historic city was founded around 1300 BC. Later it was used by the Greeks and Romans. Here we visit the Greek-Roman amphitheater, the Cathedral of Taormina, the Piccolo Teatro Odeon, the Palazzo Corvaia and we can take a walk on Corso Umberto. The guided tour will last about 3 hours. The afternoon will be at leisure. Dinner In hotel Overnight in Taormina.
DAY 8 – MT ETNA & GAMBINO WINERY
After breakfast transfer to Mount Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe and one of the most visited destinations in Sicily. Famous and fascinating not only for the volcanic phenomena, but also for the breathtaking views and the different types of vegetation visible during the ascent. At the end of the tour we will visit Gambino Winery for the tasting of 4 wines accompanied by a soft lunch of typical Sicilian products. Overnight in Taormina.
DAY 9 – MALTA
After breakfast private transfer to Catania airport. Fly to Malta.
DAY 10 – VALLETTA / MDINA
Breakfast in Hotel before departing for an excursion to explore the two Maltese capitals during the centuries.. pick up at the Hotel's hall, accompanied by your private assistant/guide to visit the capital city Valletta, during the tour you will visit the St. John's Cathedral within the masterpieces of Caravaggio, Barraca Gardens enjoying scenic views of Valletta harbour,the visit going on to the Grand Master's palace which houses the Maltese Parliament.Free time for lunch and shopping. Transfer to the center of the island to visit the charming walled city of Mdina the ancient capitals of Malta under the Arab domination. The tour will include the visit of the St.Paul's Church and time for strolling in the narrow streets and enjoying panoramic views from the Mdina's Belvedere. Transfer and Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 11 – THREE CITIES / MARSAXLOKK / BLUE GROTTO / DINGLI CLIFFS
The driver will be waiting you outside the Hotel to escort you by private car to the beautiful Cottonera Area,including the ancient cities of Senglea,Vittoriosa and Cospicua, the tour proceed to the fishing village of Marsaxlokk. The waterfront here is lined with traditional fishing boats known as luzzus and are brightly painted in red, blue and yellow adding vibrancy to this peaceful bay.There will be free time here to take a leisurely stroll or to browse the local market stalls. Lunch in a typical restaurant. Your tour then continues to the western coast of Malta to visit Wied iz-Zurrieq. From here you will board a boat to visit the Blue Grotto, a deep sea cave where the waters are renowned for being so pure and beautiful.The Blue Grotto area is steep and precipitous, but in places there are gaps in the cliffs that slope down to sea level.One of these gaps (small fjord) is Wied iz-Zurrieq, this narrow arm of the sea is an anchorage forboats in calm weather.Many of the fishermen today also use their boats to take visitors to see the Deep sea cave.(The boat fee is therefore paid locally)The tour then takes us on a scenic journey heading to the Dingli Cliffs passing by the maltese countryside.Your tour concludes with a scenic coach ride back to the Hotel through the beautiful costal road. Overnight.
DAY 12 – Welcome
End Point Valletta, Malta
Breakfast in Hotel. Check out. Transfer to the Airport.

TOUR GROUPS:
Our tour groups have been designed for a group of no more than 6 people per tour to ensure that client needs and enjoyment is always our top priority.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS:
All tours, travel arrangements and accommodations are secure from the time of confirmation of booking. Consequently a cancellation fee will apply on all cancellations.
If you cancel your tour reservation for any reason, your first deposit of 25% is non-refundable. If you cancel 90 days before tour starting date: 75% of your total tour cost is refundable. If you cancel between 90 days and 60 days before tour starting date: 50% of your total tour cost is refundable for physician documented emergency medical reasons or for police documented cases of accident, flood, fire, or crime. Cancellations less than 30 days from the tour start date, a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the tour cost will apply.
We do not provide refunds for: non-medical personal problems; air carrier delays or cancellations; inability to obtain passports; business problems or emergencies; etc.
In the unlikely event or if the tour fails to fill with the necessary minimum number of participants required (2 people), you would be entitled to a 100% refund in full.
COST/EXCHANGE RATES:
Prices and tariffs quoted for the tours are subject to change without notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, such as significant currency fluctuations.
INSURANCE:
You are required to purchase your own travel insurance to cover cancellation coverage, airline tickets, trip delay, lost luggage or any potential medical expenses, personal accident and sickness, emergency repatriation and personal liability. It is advisable to take specific cover for ambulance through the respective State ambulance providers or through their own private health insurance.
Please note that travellers on Tuscany Untouched tours must have comprehensive travel insurance. We will require evidence including policy number, insurers name and emergency contact number before we finalise your booking.
LUGGAGE:
You are allowed one suitcase and one carry-on bag. If you exceed this limit there may not be space in the vehicle to transport your excess luggage and it will be at your own expense to have it transported. We suggest that you bring a day pack for carrying water, guide books, jacket, rain gear, etc.
STRENUOUS WALKING
Most medieval towns were built as hilltop fortifications, so you will find some challenging climbs. There is a lot of walking on our tours and you will spend a lot of time on your feet while sightseeing. Age is not important as long as you are physically fit and a strong walker. Our tours are not suited for anyone who has problems with knees, back, heart or obesity.
SINGLE TRAVELLERS:
Single travellers are provided a private apartment. The additional single supplement cost will apply.
PRICES:
Our recommended tours and dates, as listed on our web site, are guaranteed once a booking is confirmed. Your additional expenses will be for non-included meals, moderate tipping where appropriate, and personal sightseeing or shopping.LIMIT OF LIABILITY:
No responsibility is accepted for any loss, expense, accident, injury, or damage to any person or property due to the actions or omissions of any person, or any cause, including but not limited to acts of God, acts of terrorism, war, strikes, defects in machinery, breakdown of equipment, weather, quarantine, negligence, loss of baggage, or other causes beyond our control, such losses being the responsibility of the guest.
MEMBERSHIP ON TOUR:
Tuscany Untouched Pty Ltd reserves the right to accept, reject, or not retain any person as a tour participant whose condition or general deportment impedes the operation of the tour or, in the opinion of the tour manager, affects the rights and enjoyment of other guests. A guest not retained on tour shall have no cause for complaint or refund, and shall bear any and all extra expenses that ensue.
TOUR CHANGES:
All information on this website is, to the best of our knowledge, correct. However, we reserve the right to make changes in accommodations, visits, and itineraries at any time should it become necessary or desirable. Delays or itinerary changes caused by strikes, bad weather, traffic, or other unforeseen circumstances are beyond our control and we are not obliged to pay guests compensation.
STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Just a reminder that travel on Tuscany Untouched trip requires a degree of flexibility, and you should understand that the trip’s route, accommodation and modes of transport are subject to change without prior notice due to local circumstances. Should Tuscany Untouched PTY LTD deem it advisable to amend an itinerary for any reason, it may do so by shortening, varying or re-routing any trip. These changes are binding and additional expenses will be charged to you if the reason for any alteration is outside Tuscany Untouched’ control.
While travelling with Tuscany Untouched you agree to accept the authority of the leader at all times. You are aware that travel within a group may involve compromise to accommodate the diverse desires and physical abilities of group members. You understand that Tuscany Untouched reserves the right to decline, accept, or retain any person as a member of the group at any time. To the best of Tuscany Untouched’s knowledge, these third parties are qualified to perform the duties they are contracted to perform. However Tuscany Untouched will not be held liable for any injury, damage, loss, delay or irregularity that may occur due to the behaviour of these third parties. Tuscany Untouched will not accept responsibility or liability for any traveller who contravenes any law or regulation of any country visited. No employee, servant or agent of Tuscany Untouched Pty Ltd has authority to vary these conditions.
CONFIRMATION BOOKING FORM
All Tuscany Untouched travellers on group trips must sign a Booking Form. Please note that signing the form is a pre-requisite of travelling with Tuscany Untouched Pty Ltd. The wording of this form follows.
“I understand that touring with Tuscany Untouched Pty Ltd may involve risks (and rewards) above and beyond those encountered on a more conventional holiday, and that I am undertaking a physical trip with inherent dangers. I understand that I am travelling to geographical areas where, amongst other things, the standard of accommodation, transport, safety, hygiene, cleanliness, medical facilities, telecommunications and infrastructure development may not be of the standard I am used to at home or would find on a conventional holiday. I have read and understood the Tuscany Untouched tour notes for the trip I am undertaking and have provided details of any pre-existing medical conditions I have to Tuscany Untouched Pty Ltd representatives. I accept these risks and obligations and I fully assume the risks of travel. I release Tuscany Untouched Pty Ltd from any liabilities connected to these risks to the maximum extent permitted by law.”
