On today’s tour, we’ll unravel the mysteries of Volterra, an enchanting medieval town that is located in central Tuscany, near to Florence, Siena, and the coast. This area of Tuscany is famous for its Etruscan origins, and there are many ancient archaeological sites dotted throughout the region that can be traced as far back as the 4th century BC.

Later in the day, we will pay a visit to San Gimignano, an area of Tuscany that is particularly well known for its fascinating medieval architecture and the tower houses that San Gimignano’s patrician families constructed as a symbol of their power and affluence. While only 14 of the original 72 towers remain, these towers still offer the perfect vantage point from which to take in the stunning natural beauty of the surrounding valley.

Having explored the hidden alleyways and hypnotic streets of San Giminiano, we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner before heading back.
